Japanese maples (acer palmatum) are some of the most beautiful, ornamental trees available. There are hundreds of species of Japanese maples in a variety of sizes, colors, and shapes. One of the newer species is known as Acer Palmatum Orange Dream. It is a relatively new cultivar and is a striking and unusual addition to the Japanese maple family.
The Acer Palmatum Orange Dream species is a small shrub-like tree. It belongs to the dissectum category of Japanese maples. This means that it produces fragile looking lacy leaves that cascade from the main branches. These leaves actually change colors from spring to summer to fall.
