Chrysanthemum For Sale

   (Read 100+ times)
By Patricia Wainwright

As flowers, chrysanthemums or ‘mums’ are relatively easy to find. They are almost omnipresent in all flower shops and are a favorite of florists for the variety of shapes and colors they have. As seedlings and cuttings for planting, they are not that difficult to search for either. A lot of garden centers have a lot of chrysanthemums for sale. Even online sites are swarming with seedlings, cuttings, or even live chrysanthemum for sale.

Seedlings of chrysanthemum for sale are perhaps the most widely available. They are even easily germinated so long as they are constantly kept in a temperature of 70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. To grow chrysanthemums from seedlings, you will need to bury heating cables under the seed bed or use a propagating mat under the flats to make sure that the seedlings have this bottom heat. Though they are not included in packages of chrysanthemum for sale and can be expensive, they are worthwhile investments since they can cut rooting time in half.

Usually, a chrysanthemum for sale meant for growing is a root cutting. Some centers even accept orders for root cuttings. Root cuttings are tiny pieces of the chrysanthemum’s root that is mainly used for propagation. This chrysanthemum for sale can be potted separately but still needs to be kept in a frost–free environment, a greenhouse for example. There are some varieties of chrysanthemum, like the spray types, that can have their growing tips pinched out when they reach about 20 to 30 centimeters,

The bestselling types of chrysanthemum for sale are the potted plants that can be transplanted anytime during the growing season. A potted chrysanthemum for sale is the most popular gift flower all-year long. Millions of potted chrysanthemums are sold at garden centers and nurseries especially during fall since they are excellent decorations for the outdoors.

So, which type of chrysanthemum for sale should you buy for your home? The first thing you need to find out is the variety of mums that can be grown in your area. Once you’ve decided on the variety, leaf through catalogs of chrysanthemum for sale and buy mail-order mums. These mums are usually single stemmed root cuttings that can be planted in spring since it is usually the season to grow such flower. A catalog of all varieties of chrysanthemum for sale can be requested from online garden centers and even your local nursery. It should be able to provide all the relevant information you need to know about buying the right variety of chrysanthemum for sale.

So, know which type of chrysanthemum for sale you’ll need to work with and start your spring right. You’ll have the blazing colors of the ‘golden flower’ by autumn.
