Crescent Planters

   (Read 500+ times)
By Patricia Wainwright

Use crescent planters and bring the coolness and glow of the moon to your garden. Crescent planters are planters that are semi-circular, hemispherical, elliptical, or shaped like a half moon. Crescent planters come in different finishes, designs, and colors to accent the landscape in your garden or create year-round artistry.

Like all planters, crescent planters are containers used for growing plants. Crescent planters can be placed and moved anywhere in the garden, on the patio, on the porch, on the driveway to your house and even inside the house. Plants are easily moved depending on the amount of sunlight they need. They can be brought indoors or covered outdoors, depending on the weather.

Designs of Crescent Planters

There are large crescent planters and there are small ones which look like bowls. They may either be used as the centerpiece of fountains, bird baths, wall planters, planters for hanging plants and some are shaped like urns. Crescent planters come in different makes or finishes such as: fiberglass, stone, resin, hobnail milk glass, cast iron, concrete, marble, clay, porcelain, metal, terra cotta, and rattan. They also come in different colors such as white, black, earth tones, pastel colors, and vibrant summer hues.

Some come with potholes or drainage disks and fillers that hold moisture while improving the flow of air to the roots. Some crescent planters come with saucers to hold water and for aesthetic purposes.

Crescent planters can magnificently showcase your plants and flowers. There are gorgeously 'aged' designed handcrafted stone planters that can serve as the highlight or the focal point of your garden. They have a natural weathered look and give your garden a classic ambiance. They are portable and have built-in drainage.

Crescent portable planters with stakes are ideal for lining driveways, walkways, garden pathways, and planting beds. They radiate a warm welcome to your guests and visitors. There are birdbaths fastened to a pedestal with the romantic Mediterranean as its design, transporting one to a different place and time. There is a heartwarming design of crescent planters with a pair of sweet-faced cherubim angels on half moon shaped crescent planters. This design evokes a pleasant feeling of tranquility in the midst of elegance and makes for a splendid garden display.

There are elliptical crescent planters with hidden feet that give your garden and the entryways to your house a grand and breezy look as they do not take up much space. They are very durable and can be placed outdoors even during freeze thaw cycles.

Crescent planters accentuate the focal points in your garden, increasing its attractiveness to hold the viewer's interest and attention.
