Another good option, if you are looking for interesting fruit trees to buy, are the nut-bearing trees, like walnut trees, pecan trees, almond trees, etc. These trees do best in the sun, in mild to cold climates. They need adequate watering and can yield an incredible amount of fruit. Once established they do not need much care, but bear in mind that these trees, although slow-growing, can become quite big, so pruning might be necessary.
