Outdoor heating: You and Your Garden

   (Read 500+ times)
By Design Home And Garden

According to research Brits only use their garden 20% of the time and this is mainly in the summer months when it is warmer outside.

However, there is a way to add garden heating to your outdoor space which will allow you to sit out in the garden at any time of year comfortably.

Outdoor heating comes in a range of different products. You could go for the more traditional look which might include using a fire pit. These are attractive clay burners which look great out in any garden space and equally heat the garden up well.

If you like your outdoor space to look more modern then there is always the option of going for an outdoor electric heater. Patio heating is available by plugging in the heater and simply letting the heater do the hard work whilst you sit back and enjoy the warmth.

If you prefer something more discreet for your outdoor heating then you can add a heater to the inside of your parasol, this is a safe and effective way of keeping people warm under the parasol when eating outdoors in the evening. It is also hardly noticeable meaning that if you have a smaller outdoor space to work with then the heater does not eat into any of this valuable space.

When considering your heating options you might want to think about what lighting you could add to your garden or balcony. Lighting isn’t just for practical use but also adds a great ambience to any outdoor space particularly at birthday parties or evening BBQs where you are trying to create a relaxing atmosphere for your guests to enjoy. You might like try lanterns, fairy lights or solar lights to add something special to your garden. You might also consider parasol lighting which has become a popular way of lighting the space where you and your guests are sitting.

If you are looking for somewhere for you and your family or guests to sit in the garden, consider investing in some quality outdoor furniture pieces. Quality garden furniture such as rattan garden chairs can last for years as well as being modern and stylish, making it a great investment piece. If your current outdoor furniture is looking a bit tired, try adding cushions in bright, funky colours to give it a new lease of life, a cheaper alternative to replacing the furniture.
