Saying an honest “Thank You” seems to be a dying art. Not to say that people today are less grateful than they used to be, but sometimes they don't even think of being grateful since the rules have changed. Failing to say thank you in cases such as those mentioned already would not hurt the people concerned, but think about it: expressing your gratitude would make them feel loads better than if you don't.
