Bask in the invasion of autumn leaves like never before - with a push leaf blower. The time has come for the rake in your shed to be retired or just to be used for non-leaf collecting purposes. Also called a walk-behind leaf blower, the push leaf blower is a citadel of power, especially if your yard is relatively large.
Types of Leaf Blowers
A leaf blower is a gardening tool that moves yard debris, particularly leaves, through the propelling of air out of a nozzle. Leaf blowers simply blow the leaves into a pile that can be picked up later for disposal. The leaves may also be blown all the way to your compost pile as a means to efficient gardening. There are three types of leaf blowers: hand-held leaf blowers, backpack leaf blowers, and walk-behind or push leaf blowers.
Being portable, convenient, and inexpensive, hand-held leaf blowers are the most popular. Powered by electricity, gas, or rechargeable batteries; hand-held leaf blowers are however ideal only for small yards and other areas of the house such as patios, decks, or driveways and for other small jobs.
Backpack leaf blowers, as the name suggests, can be strapped to your back. They move more debris and leaves and are thus ideal for larger areas. Being lightweight, it does not cause fatigue even when used for prolonged periods of time.
A push leaf blower is as efficient, powerful and hard-working as the backpack type. Like the backpack type, the push leaf blower is powered by gas, thus having more power. It is mounted on wheels for more mobility and easier maneuverability; although it can still get heavy when used for a long period. However, some push leaf blowers have rubberized handles for comfortable grips.
Push Leaf Blower
Contrary to what your or many gardening enthusiasts may think, there are affordable brands of push leaf blowers that give you your money's worth in terms of performance, durability, and efficiency - getting the job done at the least possible time. Some brands have ball bearings for lower frictions to eliminate hard labor that are sometimes wrongly associated with a push leaf blower. The wheels do not vibrate and don't make side movements - making the task of cleaning the yard of debris and leaves somewhat effortless. Some push blowers come equipped with a vacuum to make yard cleaning a breezier task.
In deciding the right model and brand of push leaf blower for you; consider your budget, the amount of debris and leaves that your garden gets particularly during the season of falling leaves, your time constraints, and whether there is a noise ordinance in your community.
Get the push leaf blower that suits your yard - surely there is one for every yard circumstance. Dread no more the coming of fall - instead enjoy the yellow, orange, and fiery red landscape, right in your own garden.
