The Electric Pruners

   (Read 500+ times)
By Patricia Wainwright

Electric Pruners, sometimes called powered pruners, are hand-held tools which can help you cut out large tree branches or trim bush overgrowths in your yard. These devices are also highly recommended for individuals who operate or run a landscaping business.

Unlike a manual pruner, an electric pruner can save you time and energy as you would not need a lot of effort to use one. Most of the "hard" work that you would do when operating a pruner of this type would be in applying a firm finger or hand pressure on the device's trigger which can be typically found on the bottom of the pruner. Compare this to a manual pruner, which would require you to constantly move your arms. Since electric pruners can help you finish gardening work faster, you can have more time on your hands to devote to other meaningful domestic chores. Also its mechanized design means that you need not worry about suffering from strain and fatigue after cutting or trimming.

An electric pruner would not only tremendously benefit you, but also your plant's overall look and health as well. With this device, you can consistently get a smooth, clean and even cut that can improve your plant's health. Even trims also encourage new growths to spring forth sooner.

There are a range of specialized electric pruner models such as pole tree pruners, long reach pruners and long handled pruners that are designed for cutting tall tree branches. With these, you would be able to keep your feet firmly planted on the ground while pruning seemingly out of reach tree limbs.

There are two basic types of electric pruners, namely corded and cordless. Due to their highly efficient engine, corded electric pruners are great for heavy pruning jobs. However since a cordless pruner's range is limited by the length of its cord, it is not suitable for use in large yards. A cordless electric pruner on the other hand is great for use in wide spaces or areas. These pruners come with a battery that requires charging. Some battery models may even take up to 10 hours to be charged completely.

With this efficient gardening tool, gardening hobbyists or landscaping professionals can have an easier and enjoyable time pruning. Buying one is relatively easy since there are many designs and models to choose from. When you are new to using electric pruners, it is recommended that you first go over your pruner's instruction manual. Being acquainted with your electric pruner would help you save time and also prevent unnecessary gardening injuries and accidents from happening.
