The green thumbs next to your article title are a way of showing how popular your article is. Based on the number of time read, you earn a green thumb. The more your article gets read, the more thumbs you will receive. Here's the way it is set up as of now:

0 thumbs = Article read less then 10 times
1 thumbs = Article read 10 times or more
2 thumbs = Article read 20 times or more
3 thumbs = Article read 50 times or more
4 thumbs = Article read 100 times or more
5 thumbs = Article read 250 times or more
5 golden thumbs = Article read over 500 times!

You can see the exact number of times your article was read at the bottom of your article.

How can I, as an author, be featured on the homepage?

In order to be featured on the homepage, you need at least 1 approved article and have an author photo uploaded.
