A. Earn money through our Google Adsense Revenue Sharing Program

We offer a 50/50 share of our Google Adsense advertisements on article pages. 50% of the time your articles will display Google ads from your Google Adsense account. Green Thumb authors can typically earn $1.00 - $2.00 per thousand times your articles are read. So, the more articles you have in your account, the more page views you will receive and the more money you will make. Be sure to read our Submission Guidelines page before you submit your articles.

What is Google Adsense?

Google Adsense is a program that places written advertisements from various advertisers on a page matching the subject matter on that page. Every time someone clicks on one of the advertisements, you get paid!

How do I get a Google Adsense account?
Sign up for your Google Adsense account here.

Note: In order to sign up for an Adsense account, you will need a blog or website. If you do not have a blog or website already, you can still sign up for a Google Adsense account by creating a Blogger.com blog first. You can find out more information on how to get a Google Adsense account if you don't have a website or blog here. Once you have your Blogger Blog created, make 1 post in your blog and apply for a Google Adsense account next. On the Google Adsense sign up page, enter your Blogger blog's homepage url and complete all the necessary fields. If you already have a blog or website, simply use that url to apply for your Google Adsense account.

Once you completed and submitted the form, wait for google to review your google adsense account. When approved, Google will give you instructions on how to activate your account.

Now that I have a Google Adsense account, how can I start making money from Green Thumb Articles' Google Adsense Revenue Sharing Program?

1) Adsense Publisher ID: Enter your Adsense Publisher ID into your edit account page. To find your Adsense Publisher ID, sign in to your Google Adsense account and look for it in the top right cornet of the page.

This is your Google AdSense Pubisher ID. Copy this ID and go to "Edit Account" on GreenThumbArticles.com. At the bottom of the page, you shoud see the following 2 fields:

Now, just paste the ID you just copied from your AdSense account into the first field and click 'Update'.

And voila - You're done! You will now start earning money from your Green Thumb Articles!

The second field (Adsense Channel ID) is optional. It is not required. It is however recommended and up to you to use it or not. To learn what the optional field is for, read on.

2) Adsense Channel ID (optional, but recommended): If you would like to track your Green Thumb Article earnings separately in your Adsense account, you need a 10 digit code. Create a custom channel called "GreenThumb" in your Adsense account and copy the 10 digit code corresponding to it. (fig. 3). Once you created this channel you will be able to track exactly how much you earn from your articles on greenthumbarticles.com. We highly recommend you do that, though it is optional and not required.

How do I create a custom channel?

1. Login to your Adsense account and click on the “Adsense Setup” tab then click “Channels”
2. Under “Adsense for Content” make sure “Custom channels” is selected (this should be the default)
3. Click on “+ Add new custom channels”
4. Name your channel “GreenThumb” then click the “Add channel” button (leave "Targeting" tickbox unticked)
5. You should now see the Name (GreenThumb) and ID of the newly created channel
6. Copy or write down this "ID". This is the ID you need to enter into the “Adsense Channel ID ” field on your edit account page

Important:

This to protect us and yourself from Google ever banning you forever from the Google AdSense program. Google tracks the IP's of whoever clicks on Google ads. When they find out most of the clicks on your ads came from your own IP, they will surely take measures. Notice I said "when". It's not a matter of "if they find out", but "when". Bottom line, play it fair and you will go a long way.
